Recreational Program

UCYSL

Our Recreational Soccer program is a volunteer run program offering year-round soccer opportunities for boys and girls aged 4 to 12. Each program is tailored to provide an enjoyable and skill-building experience, ranging from team-based Recreational Soccer to individual-focused Academy Style sessions and a special Mini Kickers program for the youngest players. With a focus on community, skill development, and fun, we ensure a welcoming environment for all participants, supported by easy online registration and opportunities for family involvement.

General

What age groups do you cater to in your Recreational Soccer program?

Our Recreational Soccer program welcomes boys and girls aged 4 to 12. We offer age-appropriate divisions to ensure an enjoyable experience for all participants.

When do the Recreational Soccer programs typically start and end?
We have year-round recreational programs:

• Fall Recreational Soccer season usually runs from September to November.

• Spring Recreational Soccer  season usually runs from April to June.

What is the difference between Recreational and Academy Style Programs?
• In our Recreational Soccer program, your player will be placed on an age appropriate team. Practices are run by the team’s coach(es) with the location, dates, and times dependent by team. Games against other local teams are played on the weekend.

• Academy Style programs are soccer schools that focus on providing skills and drills for the players, with some small-sided scrimmages.
What is the Mini Kickers program?

Our Mini Kickers program is an Academy Style program for boys and girls aged 4-5 years old. Players meet on Fridays from 5:30-6:30pm at Shorty Garcia Park for 8 weeks during the Recreational Soccer program seasons (Fall and Spring). Registration in Mini Kickers includes a t-shirt and participation award.
