At the conclusion of the season all UCYSL players will receive a participation award.
UCYSL will provide a complete uniform for your child which includes socks, shorts and a jersey. Each player must purchase shin guards, soccer cleats, and soccer ball.

The length of the season is between 8-10 weeks and begins on Opening Day.
Practices are generally one hour in length, are offered twice a week after and generally start after working hours. The UCYSL volunteer coach determines which days of the week practices will be held and the time.
In conjunction with the City of Union City and the New Haven Unified School District, practices are held in Union City at local parks or schools determined by the league and your coach.
The U6 age group play with a size 3 ball, U8-U10 play with a size 4 ball and U12 and older play with a size 5 ball.
All spring season games are played at Delaine Easton Elementary school. All fall season games are played at James Logan High school for U6-U8 age groups. The U10 age group will have games on Saturdays at Delaine Easton Elementary school (spring) James Logan high (Fall) or in Newark. U12-U14 age groups in conjunction with Newark Soccer Club and Southern Alameda Youth Soccer League (SAYSL), games are to be played on Saturdays in Union City, Newark and San Lorenzo.
The meeting give all parents and players the chance to meet each other, decide on practice days and times, talk about opening day, give out jerseys, give out schedules (if available).
2 – 4 weeks before opening day you will receive a phone call from the team coach to setup a team meeting.
At the 1st recreational coaches meeting all coaches will receive their team roster and will call you to set up a team meeting.
Practice days and times are decided by the individual coach and will be communicated to you at the first team meeting or during the initial phone call.
All coaches will receive their team binders which will contain their rosters on August 15, 2017. You should receive a phone call between August 16 – August 24, 2017

At the conclusion of the season UCYSL will reimburse each volunteer head coach their child’s registration fee. Only one coach per team will receive a reimbursement.
The season begins on opening day or the day after.
Opening day is to be determined for Spring 2016 season and will take place at James Logan High School. Players need to arrive at the fields by 7:00am.
