Dear all UCYSL/ UC Premier families,
We hope that you and your families are doing well and staying as healthy as possible.
In recent days, public health agencies CDC and WHO – have issued strong advice to avoid person -to- person contact. Avoid Gatherings with 10 or more people. Six Bay Area counties announced Monday a “shelter in place” order for all residents. The order directs everyone to stay home until April 7th. This effort is a significant movement to stop the spread of coronavirus in our area. It is the responsibility of all of us to respect the order, stay at home and only leave the house for essential purpose, and must maintain a distance of 6 feet from everyone while outside.
US Club Soccer and NORCAL have suspended all soccer activities through April 12, 2020. Based on the available information, UCYSL/UC Premier Soccer Club cancelled all events and practices until April 12th. We are continually monitoring the situation and will rely on expert public health advice for when it is safe to resume soccer practices.
We appreciate your understanding and patience during this rapidly changing situation. This decision is a result of the most recent guidance from Alameda County Public Health Department and meant to slow the spread of the virus. Please continue to take every precaution, and make decisions with public health in mind. For more information, you may visit Union City page on coronavirus.
